    Wheat prices reached record levels in May, supported by adverse weather in the EU and the US in combination with export bans in India and Ukraine. They have since then plummeted and are now trading some 12% below recent highs. Indeed the historically high €400 level on MATIF and £300 on LIFFE could soon become a distant memory if Ukrainian exports were to resume.
