LOWER PRICES TRIGGERED STRONG DEMAND AND A PRICE REBOUND

The recent fund liquidation triggered a sharp correction, but lower prices have quickly attracted strong buying interest from importers and domestic consumers. China is returning to the market, EU maize area is down sharply, and some weather risks are supporting prices. At the same time, a strong El Niño remains a threat for global production after September, while a firmer US dollar is supporting European and UK domestic prices.
